About Us

Guilford Street Laboratories (GSL) was founded by Professor Kevin Mills, Dr. Tomas Baldwin and Dr. Wendy Heywood following more than a decade of collaboration between leading clinicians, academic scientists and diagnostics entrepreneurs at UCL and major NHS hospitals. The company was created to translate breakthrough biomarker science into clinically actionable blood tests. As these programmes demonstrated strong clinical potential, GSL was created as the commercial vehicle to clinically validate the science, build regulatory-grade diagnostics, and deliver them at scale through the NHS and international partners.

Today, GSL is growing rapidly in response to strong demand across its diagnostics pipeline and CoreLabs business, supported by an expanding team of full-time staff and long-term collaborators.
